Black History Month Program

The students of Ms. Etterling's class presented a mulit-faceted program on March 1, 2019. It consisted of representing the different eras that the African Americans have played a very important role in establishing.

The presentations were judged on teamwork, historical accuracy, research and creativity. The judging was done by members of the National Alumni Assoc.

The scenes that were presented were: BLACK FASHION, OPPRESSION- OPINIONS WITH OPRAH, J-"ESPN SPECIAL", E-"DOORS OF COLOR", "CULTURAL APPROPRIATION", "KANSAS CITY '68 RIOTS", "KANSAS CITY LIVE MUSIC MUSEUM", and finally the INTER SCENE PERFORMANCE.

Prizes were awarded to the best three performances. The entire program was an overall success.

Thanks to Ms. Etterling and to Ms. Foster, Principal of LCPA, job well done.
